For Windows Vista users who are having problems running Spartan or Gates of Troy, please download this dll. It is part of DirectX, which does not get included with Windows Vista. Unzip and place the dll in the game installation folder, or if this does not work, place it in the windows\system32 folder.

Also, please try right clicking on the "Quick Start" shortcut for the game and setting it to "Run as Administrator"

1. Can anyone tell me if Legion ( UK version ) & Chariots of War work OK on Windows Vista?

( If you have the games and you use Windows Vista your comments would be particularly useful. )

2. Does anyone know if Matrix / Slitherine are planning to update these games to make them Windows Vista compatable if they need it?

( If they just need some user "adjustment/s" to make them work correctly, can anyone please advise the nature and detail of the "adjustment/s" req'd. )

Yes, they work in Vista, but you need to do what's described in the first post.

have it downloaded. but just like last time, won't work on Gates of Troy

FYI : Legion and Chariots of War both work OK on Vista 32 bit WITHOUT the extra d3drm file.
