Since this game has peaked my interest, I was wondering what was the evaluation of the progress in the mods. I have looked here but can't quit determine how many are available.
Since the game is generic (that is not historical battles)what mods are available to better reflect lets say, world war II?

I guess an unoffical list of mods might help me.

All scenarios and/or mods for the game are available at http://www.advancedtactics.org/scenariobank.php

There are several people working on various things, including some that are less generic and more historical, but none have thus far been released. It's a lot of work ... ;)

You have to understand that with AT, you can model small battles, like the invasion of Crete, or an entire war. It all depends on scenario design, since the editor allows to tweak about every parameter of the game. Therefore you couldn't say the game is "unhistorical", only a scenario might be.

For example, when making a Crete scenario, a designer might set the range of Air Transports to unlimited to make sure that paratroops could be dropped everywhere on the island. But he'd make that change to the scenario datafile, not the master datafile, or else the Nazis in the global WW2 scenario could start in Berlin and drop paras in Australia.

Or the designer might want to give early German fighters in a Russia scenario shorter range than Soviet fighters. He'd copy the generic Fighter I type, rename it, lower its range and make it buildable only by the German player. But that would affect only this scenario, not the entire game.
