I am playing the Campaign (French side) and in the first phase with Pietmount scenario. I as usual with this game received my one battery against 12 batteries on the Austrian side. Anyway surprise I received reinforcements of 2 extra batteries. I moved within range of the Austrian enemy and checked using the range button. All ok. The cannons will not fire. Even when moved closer they do not fire. Four turns later they still will not fire. The following is the status of the cannon.

cohes. 86 on one and 100 on the other

Will not fire. is this a bug? or have I missed something.

I can't understand if you mean the strategic map (and so they won't fire in strategic level obviously) or you mean tactial map (in which case the batteries should be deploied in line)

Did you put the cannon into line Formation? If they are still in colum, they cannot fire.

Thanks. I ran into this before and now realise that I am likly in column rather than line. Will go back to the save and try out. Many thanks for your help
