Artillery Follow-up

After some testing regarding long-range artillery:
No matter what the range given, no on-map artillery will actually fire at a range greater than 200. Off-map artillery is not affected by this, only on-map artillery.
What this means is that even if an on-map artillery unit has a listed range of 232 (for instance), it will never actually fire at a range greater than 200. However, and here is the rub, you can TARGET long-range artillery at ranges greater than 200 with on-map artillery, but no actual rounds will be fired at ranges greater than 200 (unless they happen to scatter to a range greater than 200).
For example, the on-map Canadian 4.5" gun has a listed range of 248. And you can target a hex that is 230 hexes away, for example. But no rounds will actually fire. The guns will do nothing. Only if you target the guns at 200 hexes or less will the guns actually fire, no matter what the listed range of the gun says.
EDIT: Repeat, this is only an issue with on-map artillery. Off-map artillery is not affected by this.
