You should try and get "Paul Yuan" to you help with the new PS interface. His work with Gorski is fantastic. I really like Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball. The interface is almost perfect looking.

BeachBoy, how do you define "perfect"? C'mon, you dislike the ball-flight animations in PS.

OK, I checked out the official website. For text-sim fans, yeah, it looks fine. That's what bothers me. PureSim is more than that, and apparently you object to it.

Personally, I desire more than an exercise in accounting. I see enough of this in my day job.

Right now, the gameplay in PureSim isn't dry and boring. What you're recommending, man, would only stifle the excitement and take away the visual/audio enhancements that make PS such an immersive experience. Thanks, but no thanks.

My like for Draft Day's Sports: Pro Basketball interface has nothing to do with my dislike of the ball animation in PS. Anyway, Gorki's stuff always looks tip top!

I just followed that link, curious to see what this thread was all about. I took a look at the screenshots for the game and I must be fair; it looks nice. The images are nice and smooth, shiny looking, like a newly painted car with a wax job. However, I see it and one thing comes to mind: OOTP.

Envisioning these screens with baseball content would make it look too much like OOTP for my personal taste.

I admit that the wood grain and the preset color scheme of PS is becoming a little tiresome, but if the alternative is a more OOTP-esque look, then I say break out the Pledge(tm) and let's bring that PS wood grain back to life!

I don't think it looks like OOTP at all. Especially the last three versions that look exactly like SI's Football Manager (OOTP was connected to SI at one time).

Anyway, Shaun knows Gorski very well. Shaun said that he liked Gorski's Total Pro Golf 2 quite a bit. In fact, I think Shaun had something do with the (should I say it?) -- the animated golf ball flight!

Hmmm. Perhaps I should download the OOTP demo and take another look. I suspect my memory may be deceiving me in my old age...

I think Jestre makes a good point. The basketball graphics are are very nice, very slick, nearly perfect. To me it all just seems--well, too sterile for my liking. The PS interface is also very nice, but not nearly as slick...for lack of a better term, it's funkier. PS is like Fenway Park; Draft Day etc. is more like an office building.

I'm not saying don't change it. Just make the changes in the spirit of what we already have.

I even redid the "buttons" in one version. And the button maker program costs me more than Pure Sim! I just think that Shaun needs to improve the look of the interface to attract more buyers. And that's what he needs -- more Pure Sim sales!

Anyway, I'm (what little time I have) playing this Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball. It's a refreshing change from Baseball sims. I might be hooked for quite awhile.
