I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 1.4 Intel Centrino 512 mb ram. It runs at 1680 x 1050. It has a 64 mb Nvidia card. My question obviously is how will CEAW run on this system? Thanks for the help.

I don't know anything about java( other than it sucks), but it sounds like you're gonna do just fine.
But, being the vista doesn't even support Java, I just don't know. It doesn't have anything to do with performance and memory. I can assure you that.

I have a similar desktop. CEAW did not run well on it. At the highest zoom level it was hardly playable.

Thanks guys.  I was afraid that this program would not run well on my system.  I will just wait until I upgrade to a newer system.  I am running XP on my "old" laptop.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 that runs with XP and a 6400 that runs with Vista Pro. Game plays well on both machine (v. 1.04). I set the game on Window mode, so it is is not anormally stretched because of the wide screen.

The new patch that will come out shortly has good performance improvements that will enable these machines to play well. However, CEAW has 2 options when you start the game, the "low" option for 512 MB user and "high" option for those with 1 GB RAM or more.

That said, if you run the high option with an old machine then the game will we a bit slower [:-]

Same as with all 3D games if you have a low spec machine and toggle all graphics options to "max" then the game will be more sluggish.
