Hi,

Thanks for the effort....... but I can't seem to take advantage of it. Every time I open the window and click on the the attachment I get navigated to a blank screen showing the link/URL with no attachment. Any chance of sending it via PM?? My address is in my profile....
Regards,

Rob. [:)]

I'm having trouble too.  I think it might be a firefox issue with automatically trying to open the file.  Will try IE.

+ 1 but try this

Arjuna-
"You will need to change its estab in the ScenMaker app. Open SM. Go to the Units tab and select the 7th Hussars Regt HQ unit. Double click it to open its unit data. You will see the Estab control just below the name. You need to drag in and drop a new estab from the Estab tab on the side bar. Go to the Estab tab view. Find the estab you want (A15 type Rgt HQ estab ). Drag and drop onto the Esatb control of the Unit data window. It should highlight as you do this. The new estab will then appear.

However, having said that you should check to see that the new estab is the right one. Make sure it is part of the same nation and service and that its of the right type and size.

Finally you will need to save your scenario. The original scenarios are read only to stop them from being ovewritten accidentally. I would recommend you you Save the scenario under a new name and retain the original."

Richard,

http://www.wargamer.com/gamesdepot/

I'll also ask Dan if he can add it ot the COTA website.

Is the only change the 7th Hussar's HQ unit? Would there be any problem in multi-player if people made that change individually?

Is the only change the 7th Hussar's HQ unit?
Yes.

Quite frankly IMO swapping the Bde for the Regt HQ has a minimal effect on how the scenario plays out. The scenario plays fine without the fix.
Would there be any problem in multi-player if people made that change individually?
No. But only the host player will run the scenario. The joining player doesn't need it.

One more- this time on the Bir el Gubi scenario - all the British units look like they have 'nominal' quality stats: morale, exp, aggro, so forth all at 50%. The scenario briefing mentions that 22nd Armd is a green unit. Shouldn't that be reflected in the stats? Though I will say that was a challenging scenario. I just finished it for the first time, and got a narrow loss. [:(]

Sorry to hit you with another comment/question. We're not picking on you, I concur with the statement that scenario design is a challenging skill. Love the fact that you guys added N. Africa, this really gives COTA a new freshness, and I'm glad to see more traffic on the forum.

What do you think of building a sort of reference "go-by" for setting unit stats? At least a base line by nationality/unit type/period that the modding and scenario people could use as a starting point? Group effort by the customers of course, so as not to distract from BftB [;)]
