Hey guys [8D]

I am still running 8.2 from waaay back when. Most of the threads in here about patching up from there are very old, 2 years almost. Can I still patch up to the new 8.4? I dont have any of the Mega Campaigns. I had so much fun with the standard game never went there.

Kaybayray (aka Kbar :.)  may I suggest you upgrade to the enhanced Mod (2008) which is the latest and greatest. You can get info at http://spwaw.com.phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15116, and while your there browse the forum.

patch to 8.3, then 8.4, then 8.403, then Install Enhanced 2008 [:)]

WOW !! I sure did !! [8D]

OK I will see about getting upgraded to the max. I have spent the past couple months working on a Scenario for Eben Emael. Wonder if there are any new toys I can use for this.[8D]

I have to say this is one of the best games I have ever played. Great community out there too with lots of scenarios to be had from all. [&o]

I checked my old links from way back when I worked with Wild BIll, Fabio and the rest of the Raiders. Yeah I was a junior member of the team way back then. Had a different username I think... 8ball

So I found these dated 9/23/06

Will these all work?

You sound good to go on files, though your version of ENH is outdated. There is a link to the newest version in the stickies at the top of the main SPWaW forum page, where this thread is. ENH 2008.

You can find additional files (scernarios, campaigns, etc) at both the Depot (www.spwaw.com) and the ENH forums (http://enhanced.freeforums.org/).

NOT FV.1 thats an older version of Enhanced...you can find Enhanced 2008 right here on this forum

Sorry, The permissions in that forum were set wrong, so unless you had registered you would not have seen the files

I see the thread at the top of the froum for liinks to the Enhanced version. Several files there. Which files are which? I dont understand the DV and DVRN?? WHich is the correct file or perhaps what is the difference between the two?

The 'DV' version includes OOBs that use 'native' language for many of the
units; Finland, Soviet, Yugoslavia, Norway, Germany, Japan, Romania, Hungary, Poland, and more. Not all of the OOBs have been 'translated', some, because the alphabets weren't compatible and we couldn't find anyone to give us the 'English-equivalent' (like was done with the Soviet and Japan OOBs), or because we couldn't get the translated words to fit the 15-character name limit.
The 'DVRN' version are the same OOBs 'datawise', but with most of the 'native' language names left in English. Some were left for flavour, if the word was decipherable into English (such as 'Mortier' for mortar).

You would want the "full download" seeing how you have never had Enhanced before

did you download the 'full file' the one that is about 70 megs?
it goes into your "mods" folder, which is inside the spwaw folder, then open modswap (which is also in the spwaw folder) and guide it to the mod file and click install..

BTW, you should only have one or the other installed, cant do both at same time

Yes I did download the full file, 70+ MB.

So I just drop it in the "mods" folder then.... I dont quite understand what to do here. Sorry I have never had to do this with any previous update with SPWAW and am not familiar with what should be done. [8D]

Hate being such a pest, I just play them and make scenarios for them I dont necessarly understand how the work.
