In stock scenario 15 Wakatake-class destroyers seem to have eight loads of torpedoes for their four tubes, for a total of 32 torpedoes per ship. Just be glad they carry the older type 92.

In the British Navy 'Destroyer' means SUBMARINE DESTROYER [8D]
In the US Navy 'Destroyer' means AIRCRAFT DESTROYER [:D]
In the IJN... 'Destroyer' means BATTLESHIP DESTROYER [:'(]

Ammusingly many US Navy Destroyers are lacking effective torpedoes
... also ammusingly many IJN Destroyers are completely lacking in depth charges (effective or otherwise)

Jap DDs are quite formidable in ASW after their first upgrade which begins in 3/42 (at least in CHS).
