Please make the RN withdrawals mandatory and not optional.

The idea that the player can disobey orders to release forces that are to be transferred from his command is so damn stupid it boogles the mind.

How many times have we said it now? There's no such thing as British withdrawals any more...[8|]

What happens instead?

Besides which, it's not technically possible, unless you simply wish to have the program delete the ships wherever they may be, and whatever they may be doing. What sort of volume-11 whining would we have then?[8|]

Well, its a moot point now, but you could make it so the program removes any ship of the correct class disbanded in a port after the deadline.

But what happens now instead? No ships are withdrawn ever?

IIRC all ships that were withdrawn historically have a withdrawl date assigned. The player can keep the ships after this date, but the game charges PP for every day that you keep the ship after the withdrawl date. It varies from fairly low for destroyers to crippling for carriers.

But there are players who dont care about losing PPs...

So, we are back to square one?

How about we make the players lose victory points instead of PP?

PP's are going to be VERY tight now leaders cost 30 - 200 for HQ's and TF's are more expensive as well.

Units are more expesive to buy out and the Allies need a lot of PP's to get the Indian Army able to deploy.

PP's are going to be a real constraint on both sides - they allow choices but at the basic level do not provide quite the same surpluses as in stock.

But if every command is not a restricted command this is no great deterent. As the Japanese I could set all my units to Southern Command and be able to go anywhere. The same would be true of the Allies. Just set to a non restricted command and don't worry about it.
