Hi everyone,
We've got a new Public Beta (v1.15) Update available via our Members Club. While we do final testing we figured we'd offer you a change to get it early as well. This is still a beta, but it's stable and solid as far as we can tell
You can download this as a Registered Download as long as you have registered your Advanced Tactics serial number in our Members Club (click on the MEMBERS link in the top nav bar).
Change List
• Fixed production so that people start off with the right morale
• Fixed Strategically transferring supply loaded HQ costs
• Added weight of excess supply to HQ weight reported in unit stats.
• ZoC checks on hexes due to air recon missions is stopped.
• Add disk space check before saving files, screenshots and AI logs.

If somebody with Vista could try it out and report back it would be appreciated.

Does this mean we can now do air recon over or at least across the territory of a regime we are not at war with? If so, yay!

I think that this means that enemy hexes are no longer converted to friendly hexes by air recon missions.

No it means a bug is fixed.
Also i still think the current air recon system is better since i dont think just flying over an area will give good recon. The aircraft nee to focus on an area and criss cross it to get enough info.

I've loaded in on my Vista laptop and it installed without a problem. I loaded up an in progress game vs the AI and it seems to be ok. I created a random games and it also seemed to be ok. That is all the time I've had to this point to test it.
UPDATE (3/20): Installed Vista SP1 and game still loads and play as expected.

I agree with Vic though it might be good to at least know some unknown unit is present, at least on roads and in plains terrain. Then a subsequent recon can attempt to gain better info. Alternatively, have some random chance of spotting an "unknown" unit along the flight path based on terrain type.

Vic, I still disagree about air recon. If it was just a single plane making a flyover, sure. But frequently it involves many planes over a scale of 1-30 days! Surely not everyone was sleeping to and fro!

Well, Vic still need to come up with a solution that is a trade off between smaller scale scenarios and covering the whole world. Not sure if future patches can allow a parameter in the scenario editor to better reflect different kinds of situations?
