This will be my first PBEM. I don't want to use the historical start as this is to limiting for the Japanese but nether do I want to be stupid about it as they were cautious of the US carriers.

Basicaly Japan would be limited to the historical first trun plus followup units to the same objectives, but these cannot land until turn 2. Further, only units that have an enemy objective set by the scenario can load onto transports during the first turn but they TFs cannot sail. No restrictions to any other TF.

No allied units my move on the first turn. For the Allies the DEI units cannot be moved out of the DEI until their base is attacked by a LCU or Soerabaja is captured.

Other house rules as agreed.

I can play most nights and at weekends and I'm located in England.

I am definately interested. I have a couple of years experience and consider myself a mediocre player. I have always played the Japanese. During my two years of playing PBEM I was able to provide my opponents with one move per day. Our game would probably progress a little slower in the beginning. It takes three days to set up the Japanese first turn. Also, I'm a little rusty since I haven't played in four months.
