With the addition of 40-man rosters, I had no choice but to start a new association, using early import from Lahman and in-season ratings changes. I started in 1903 (historical leagues), and though I'm only a few years in I can already report some improvements.

One problem I used to have is that using the default xml, the deadball era would become dominated by pitching over time, marginalizing players like Ty Cobb. I'm no deadball purist, but it's vastly improved. Cobb is dominant. Honus Wagner hit .403 one year.

I have more statistical issues I'm curious about in the new version, but I haven't seen enough seasons.

The in-season ratings change also seems to be working well, if anyone is wondering.

I'm not using in-season ratings changes, but I'm having a great time with my '47 Dodgers so far. No trades so far. The basic team is doing well. For historical players, 1.71 is proving to be the ultimate.
