It seems to have vanished from the Matrix site. There is only the official v1.01 patch and the tutorial available for download.

Hello DC,

You have to log as member on matrix web site, register your game (EIA) and go to download for register game. There you will find a download of the 1.02 from 13th march,it's the good one.
But Matrix should release the final 1.02i soon so maybe you can wait a few days :).

Julien.

It's in the members section under private downloads.

I downloaded it and it is worse to play than the original release, as is the 1.01 patch.

Stick to the original relase.

Thats quite subjective.
I have better experiences with 1.02G than i had with 1.01...

But advice would be use the same as your group does. To avoid glitches.

V1.0 - On surrender any factors garrisoning provinces you take as a peace option remain in place.

V1.01 & V1.02g - On surrender any factors garrisoning provinces you take as a peace option (including provinces taken in a previous peace) are repatriated immediately. If you go in and place garrisons in these provinces then the factors are again repatriated after the 3 month "voluntary access" expires.

V1.0 good, V1.0x bad. What's subjective about that?

BTW there is no way in hell I will ever use this piece of junk (IMHO) for PBeM. Cyberboard & Notepad have served me well for the last 10 years and I assume it will take Matrix (who think it's still Easter BTW) another 10 years just to get this right.

I promise I'm gonna try my best to make this thing fly and I will not quit trying!

Don't forget that they called the Millennium Falcon a "piece of junk" as well :-)

Right, I see the issue. On the Registered Downloads screen it only says "Empires in Arms - Empires in Arms Tutorial Guide", no mention of patches. When you click 'downloads' the Beta patch is revealed.

You also find it under private downloads.
The one there now is 1.02i btw.
Dont get confused by its version saying 13.march.

No, do not! Your ships will not be able to move into / out of ports! We found a problem with the compatibility of older games to 1.02i so we have technically pulled the "i" patch. I am still testing a "j" patch that will be posted to BETA shortly that should address this compatability issue.
