Today, many players, and in some cases entire teams, will be wearing number 42 in honor of the 61st anniversary of Robinson's first appearance in a major league game.

Trivia question: which player came up with the idea of temporarily "unretiring" number 42?

Wasn't it Griffey, Jr?

I remember seeing the pics of the Dodgers from last year's game.  There was one great shot from CF and all the Dodgers in 42.
