greetings, editing my own version i do find that hiroshima and nagasaki (both city (type 2)) do not have land connection to yamamoto, them need bridges and roads to be capable to send supplies to Tokyo, aside you can produce supplies with other cities and let these cities produce political points, as far as i know a land connection is needed for supply send, this post have not sense if supply can reach overseas each turn,

Supplies flow overseas just fine. No land connection is required. You just need to watch out for AS interdiction once you're at war.
