It amazes me! The number of hits on a thread can number into the hundreds. The number of responses, double digit if your lucky!
Its a FORUM, not a newspaper! Speak up!!!!!

A couple things to consider:
1. Thread hits are counted on the number of times a thread is viewed, not by the number of unique user views. A thread may have 100 views counted, but all by 2 people. For example, it takes me 1 view to read your thread and a second view to post this reply. You looking at my reply will constitute yet another view.
2. People are most likely waiting for the 1.03 UPDATE to see what is coming before going into discussion on current issues.
While I admire your efforts, I would imagine they would be best left unsaid until after the 1.03 UPDATE when I am sure there will be many with lots to say.

Oddly enough, my local newpaper's website now has user comment areas for every single news article. And as expected, practically every single comment is either off-topic or vitriolic (or both [;)])

This also a hobby! Its quality and not quantity that matters in my opinion!

I agree. It's quality that matters. IMO the recent "MAPS" and "Indirect Artillery" threads have produced some interesting opinions and information so dgk196's efforts to keep the talking going were certainly not in vain.
