How much longer should Ikeep this one going?

My home PC (the one with PureSim on it) is in the shop being repaired. Which has interrupted one of the weirder replays I've ever done. I've been GMing the New York Mets, starting with their inception in 1962, in a free-for-all league with no reserve clause or player affinity. Before the PC died I had just finished 2003. I had two world titles under my belt and a dozen divisional pennants.

In the 2006 season I run out of real players for the Amateur Draft. Would that be a good time to call it quits? I was still having fun with it (and biting my nails over my failures in the postseason throughout the '90s and '00s) when my PC quit.

Well, if you got the latest PS patch AND Lahman 5.5, you'll be able to continue through 2007.

Not just that, but there's nothing keeping you from playing it ever after that. I started my running of the Marlins as a 2006 association (before the 2007 rosters were released) and I'm still playing it now. We've just started the 2012 year. It's still good because you get to see how long veterans last, how rookies develop (and don't develop) and other fun things like that. Eventually, even those people will die out. However, it's all a matter of how long you want to run the Mets. The real Mets will still be playing in 2012, so why shouldn't you?
