About the Intro

I found that in ver 3.8/3.9, it is too fast for the player to take a glance at the intro quotations (some valuable sayings of many famous admirals or strategists). But in ver 3.7, the problem doesn't seem to happen. I want to know why this ridiculous thing happens, since I regard these quotations are really valuable and they shouldn't have been skipped.

Another confusing thing is that I can NEVER see the intro movie of the H3 in any ANW version. I know in the original H3, the player can enjoy an one and half minute long intro movie, but now in ANW, the movie just disappears. (In the launcher there does have an option--skip the intro, but the fact is, whether I check it or not, the intro movie doesn't appear.) Is there any reason or excuse for this weird thing??

I run the game in the window mode, and the resolution is 1268*734 (My laptop has a widescreen of 1280*800 resolution,so I adjust the window size to fit the screen).

P.S. : No matter how I changed the screen size/ resolution, the intro movie and the intro quotations never appear. So I may guess it is a bug in this game. (Nevertheless, in version 3.7, the intro quotations can be seen while the intro movie never appears.)

I have the same problem.

Same here. I run the game on 1024 x 768 fullscreen. Also, the launcher does not disappear after I start the game, even though the option is checked. (not that this bothers me really...)

Folks,

The introduction movie and quotations were removed and disabled in 3.8 because we thought they were a bit dated. I could supply a build with the introduction activated and intro files in the next hotfix since there is a demand.

Regards,

The entire game is "a bit dated". Thats part of the reason I ordered it and still play. Nostalgia. The opening movie is a piece of history....you shouldnt forget where you came from.

I quite agree with Kegel.

I always like "bells and whistles".
