The general gist of the command structure that I've got through playing is that in the reaction phase, your orders are pretty much restrictedbased on the orders you issued in the Orders Phase.

With that in mind, something I find myself wanting to do and can't, is I have issued an Advance order on the Orders phase. When the reaction phase comes around, I wanted to change the direction.

Am I just not getting the "wait 80 seconds before being allowed control again" thing?

You're just not used to it.
 
In CM or other wego games, you make your choice and take your chances. In PC, you get a second chance half way through the "turn".

I have a sneaking suspicion you are correct.

Still, I'm still early in the game...so plenty of time to get used to it. [:D]
