RLOC and navpoints

RLOC seems to have some problems with the ref tag when used with navpoints (not with ship positions, oddly enough). It appears that navpoint RLOCs will ignore the given ref and simply use the origin, except for one strange exception... If the ref is the same object used for the random position of the ship with the given navpoint, then it will work!
Are there any known work-arounds for this, or will it be addressed in a future patch?
