unable to install

not able to install the game ...

I keep getting the error, the destination file could not be created. I run vista so Im not sure if thats related.

silly vista was blocking it.

hi rroberson
when i try to play kharkov on vista i get to the end of the movie then i get the following message:-
application has generated an exception that could not be handled
    process id-0x53c(1340) thread id=0xbf 0(3056)
 
when i try JIT debuger it is not available. an attempt to launch debuger with following
command resulted in error code 0x2
cordbe.exe!a 0x53c
i get Kharkov to play on my xp machine with no problems. i would like to play it on vista.
is this the same kind of problem as you had? if so how did you fix it.

Glad you got it worked out - it runs perfectly and installed perfectly on our clean Vista test system here.

Have you edited any scenarios or is this a clean installation? One confirmed report is that a crash like that could be caused if a scenario had an invalid date format (i.e. something other than MM/DD/YYYY)

First, can you post a DxDiag and your latest log file for us?

Second, can you confirm that in each installation you allowed the additional components (.NET and DirectX) to install?

Follow along there Jim - it reaches a point then the troubleshooting hits a dead end...

Yes true, but instead of handing out some suggestions piecemeal, let the man see the gamut of suggestions thus far and then let him get busy.
