1902 Season Over

My 3rd season of managing every game as the St. Louis Cardinals is over. Not surprisingly, the Philadelphia Phillies have remained unbeaten as champions for all 3 seasons. In the first World Series of 1901, they beat the Milwaukee Brewers of the new American League 4 games to 0. This year they faced the Brewers again, though they were now known as the St. Louis Browns, and beat them 4 games to 1. All 5 games were very close and exciting, a few of them coming down 9th and extra inning tie breakers.

Wrath,

I started my assoc. a while back at 1900 using fictional teams with 35 man real player rosters. Currently I'm at 1914 however, I don't manage every game. Maybe some day I'll do that.

Last night I was collecting information & making notes since I plan on starting another 1900 association using 35 man real players & using real teams.

Do you use the Finances/Salaries/Free Agency setting? What $ Scale do you use?

I'm playing with financials off and team affinity on. I also don't allow any AI trades, and the only trades I allow myself are to trade players off to the actual team they would be on in the given season, and even then I will only take in return players that don't belong on their team. I don't allow myself to release or trade away any player that is supposed to be on my team for the given season, and I'm using 55 man rosters. It makes for an interesting little association, and I plan on sticking with it for a while. I don't plan continuing to manage every game, though I anticipate doing about 95% of them.

Boy, you really have to do your homework to know who was traded to who and when!!!

No, it's not like that. I don't make the real trades for the season. I don't care who the teams draft or sign. I simply don't want the AI teams trading every one around since they tend to get a lot of their historical players any way. And on top of that, I will only trade to get Cardinals or to give someone a player that was part of their historical roster. I'm not trying to simulate each team's line up for each season.
