Has anyone ever modded the SoPac scenario to be more plyable? By that I mean starting the scenarion in August 1942 instead of May? From what I understand if you play the stock scenario you fight Coral Sea and then wait three months without many units on either side to start the Guadalcanal Campaign. I have played Scenario 5 to completion and am now playing Scenario 80. Both of these were PBEM against my brother whom I fondly refer to as Mikimoto. We have played wargames against each other for almost 30 years. We played the SPI board game WITP a lot.
My frustration at the end of Scenario 5 was that I as Allies was finally hading it to him when the game ended. I so wanted to keep going to turn Rabaul into dust but alas time was up. We talked about SOPac but neiterh of us really wanted to deal with the pause.
