UI Suggestion: Artillery available indication

An idea came to mind while playing today. I had one 81mm mortar and kept forgetting to use it after its cooldown period. Would it be possible to add a message to the message area at the beginning of the order plotting phase that indicates that an off-map artillery asset is ready?

Especially good because off map artillery can arrive as reinforcements.

And while we're at it, could we show which HQ's are in contact by a visual indicator?

Either on the coins or the HUD or both?

it would also be really great if it was possible to change arti location before clicking the turn go button just like one can with any other fire option, so that one does not have to load the last saved just to get the arti spot desired. do i make sense?

Yeah, this is one thing I think they need to fix. Artillery placement.

Erik says they're looking at it.

Our first look at this, it proved to be much more difficult to implement than anticipated, so it won't be in v1.01. I'll keep you posted as we will be taking a second look for the next official update. I agree that it would be very nice to get this into an update for this release rather than waiting for the next one.

too bad, but here is another customer who would love seeing the tubes pre-marked on the map before confirming the arty call! [;)]
