1. It is easy for Germany to cut the long rail line running north from Stalingrad, which isolates the Caucuses. But according to the West Point atlas, there was a spur running southeast that linked Stalingrad to another rail line between Astrakhan and Saratov. Adding this line would make it much easier for Russia to maintain communications between Moscow and the Caucuses oil field, and keep the Red Army from running out of supplies. See

2. The U.S. authorized the Naval Expansion Act in 1940, which laid down the hulls that eventually broke the Japanese Navy. Shouldn't the U.S. start with several CV, BB and CA hulls, either when it enters the war, or when the +12 and +24 cities are activated? It's true that Boston can build ships once France falls, but Boston production is more likely to be sustaining Britain than to be building up the U.S. fleet.

2. There are already several of these hulls in place in the west coast that are activated when the US (& US +12, +24) enters the war. Did you want more on the east coast?

I'm playing Waw33c. The U.S. has entered the war, and I don't see any hulls on the East or West coasts, except for Boston (where I was built hulls after France fell). Do they appear with the +12 and +24 cities?

You really play 33c ?
This version should have the hulls already. If i remmeber right they were added in first 33 version,
but Tom fixed a bug in the version after that.
So the US have a shipyard with some hulls at the east AND west coast after US entry in the war.
AT least in my game against Vic which should be a early C-version with heavybombers and hulls in, but no long range fighters.
Sometimes i´m confused with all the versions myself, but i´m pretty sure Toms 33C has the hulls implemented.

Regarding US hulls...
In New York, there is a shipyard counter with 2xCG, 2xBB, 1xCV hulls. This is available when the US enters the war.
In San Francisco, there is a shipyard counter with 2xCG, 2xBB, 1xCV hulls. This is available when the US enters the war.
In Seattle, there is a shipyard counter with 2xCG, 2xBB, 1xCV hulls. This is available 12 turns after the US has entered the war.
In New Orleans, there is a shipyard counter with 2xCG, 2xBB, 1xCV hulls. This is available 12 turns after the US has entered the war.
This is with v33c. Don't have access to earlier or later variants at the moment.

Hmmm... odd....
In 33a there are hulls in San Fran. and New York which get activated when US enters war, and in Seattle, which joins later on.
In 33d, newest, there are hulls in New York which get activated when the US joins the war, and in Seattle and New Orleans, which join later on.
So, there should be hulls in version c, but I never got that one.....

I'm playing Von Altair's 33c1a. Interesting that it doesn't have U.S. hulls. Seems like a more pro-Axis version.

Indeed. The c1 version is no longer up, but I took a look at his c2. That doesn't have shipyard counters in San Francisco, or New Orleans. I know that von Altair had boosted the Axis somewhat in his mod but for the shipyard counters, this may be the result of working from an earlier version of Tom's scenario, rather than the result of removing said counters.
Like seille stated, there are so many versions floating about, it gets confusing.

People should start naming their mods of mods differently.... my mod of Tom's great WaW mod, if I ever get it done[8|], will be called World Ablaze, 1939.

Way too many versions....
In 0.33c (Tom) there were no shipyards in Boston after Paris was captured by the Axis.
Just one at east and west coast after USA joined the war.
0.33d i did not look at in detail so far. All i noticed was a stronger Maginot line.
