This has been reported several times, by many different Yahoo users. Vic and/or Matrix needs to get proactive about solving this problem with Yahoo, and the Norton antivirus screening that it used by them, or it will end up getting worse, and strangling the PBEM community.

this is because of the cheat protection. Yahoo says that he cannot open the file because it's protected, and hence cannot scan it with antivirus.
Switch to Hotmail.

Ok thanks....good advice. I was a bit concerned that I really did have a virus but the virus scanners on my PC at home or my laptop at work don't pick it up, so I was reasonably confident it wasn't infected.
I tried changing the file extension to .txt from .pt2 thinking that might make things upload but no-go. Yahoo now says something like unrecoverable infection or some such wording.

I initiated an email exchange with Yahoo, trying to get them to address this. They insisted over about 3 different emails that I simply wasn't updating my personal virus software and that if they were reporting a virus in attachment then there was one.
I now switched to yahoo classic, even with it, I sometime get a message, so I opened a gmail account.
I was pretty unhappy with Yahoo response.
