Unzipping in Vista?

I've had a user contact me with problems getting scenario downloads to unzip properly. The specific download was the Barbarrossa game from the approved list.

The zip file is set up corrrectly (I've downloaded it and checked it out twice already).

But when he unziips it to the bin directory, it doesn't move the pt2 file into the scenarios directory. He's using Vista Home edition.

I'm not sure which unzip program he first tried, but I had him download and try ZipItFree. And he still had the problem.

Are there flags in Vista to protect against subdirectorys in zip files?

Can anyone with Vista check to see if they can help not sure of his forum name here.

EDIT: Ive already told him where the files should end up, but it would be good if he could find out why he isn't able to unzip properly.

Thanks
Rick

Not sure what the actual problem might be. I use ZipItFast Pro, available at http://www.zipitfast.com/. I know others seem to be happy with the unzip program that ships with Vista, I am not. ZipItFast is free so download it and try unzipping the files again.

I tried the zipitfast but liked ZipItFree a little better (seemed easier to use). But in any case, does Vista put any lock permissions on subdirectory's? I'm still on XP so I don't know what kind of differences Vista might have.

I think I'll try to put together some step by step screen shots, and see if I can pinpoint where the problem is. But I'm not sure how applicab le they will be since he uses Vista.

Thanks!
