Launching two amphibious invasions a week apart at the opposite sides of the world is a fairly impressive indicator of Allied resources.
Let's not forget Operation Bagration, launched on June 22,1944 (3 years to the day after Barbarossa was launched) where 3 Russian Fronts destroyed Army Group Centre, some 300-400,000 German troops. The irony is the 2nd Front started when the Russians no longer needed it.

But the threat of the second front caused the Germans to send troops from Russia to defend Italy and Northern and Southern France (as well as Greece). Without these draws, would the Germans have possessed the reserves to counter Bagration? I personally believe that by 1944 the Russians had learned enough to defeat the Germans, but superb Operational commanders were plentiful in Germany and they had proved their ability to absorb, over-extend and then cut off large Russian attacks before...
