Fullscreen widescreen?

I have been running the game in windowed mode and then maximizing the window to get full 1680x1050 resolution. I decided to try out full screen mode to see if there was a difference and there was, I couldn't get widescreen, the sides were chopped off. Is this WAD? Not a huge deal as I can run windowed then maximize, so I'm just curious.

Been wondering that myself. Maybe there's an argument to add to the executable?

Working as Designed. Yes, the Windowed mode is the default one for the game and that's the one that supports fully scaling to all resolutions. The Full Screen mode does not support all possible resolution combinations.
