Overrunning?

Hi could be a chance to have an overrun order, or at least an overrun effect rushing tanks over an enemy fixed position?

You mean not try to avoid colliding with enemy infantry?
Because anything else is already covered by other orders.

i think what he means is that the actual "effect" of overrunning ( killing by rolling over the unit) is accounted or reflected for.
i would love to see that as well.[:)]

Ya, I mean the overrun as a "weapon" against dug in infantry ( the usual turning of a tank over a trech or foxhole to bury the grunts) and the ramming of a fixed weapons from Hmg to guns. IN CM series there is a walkaround: mortars and guns, not hmg, crews dropped their weapons when the tank rushed over them....

There probably were cases of trying to bury dug-in soldiers but I don't think it was as common as people suppose. It was more common to put mines directly in front of positions to prevent this. On the other hand there is plenty of evidence of light vehicles and guns being crushed when caught by AFVs in the open.

The venerable Wittmann was somewhat for going straight for enemy AT guns. He apparently saw them as a huge threat and some authors describe his attitude as "hatred for AT guns".
