Can't see the wood for the trees or Brush progress so far

Hard to know when to stop making these brush designs for the Map Maker, still should include small rocks, more bullrushes and of course sunflowers...[:@]

Colouring them all in will still take a long time also what about winter and summer colour variations?

Driving me nuts anyone want to select a more managable number because the scripting to get them into the Map Maker alone will take a lifetime?

Biffa I think that is plenty.

There is no water area brush color. ATM there is:

brush areas
light woods
woods
heavy woods areas.

So bullrushes won't appear near the water if you define them to be soley in brush areas unless the only brush area on the map is near water.

Brush progress so far, after jumping a couple of little hurdles.

Fun sunflowers and the three 'brush' models, will experiment with them in the MM and add Wood, light Wood and Heavy Wood brush.

Looking good... not as keen on the spindly brush types.  I think these are going to have to be used pretty heavily in spots where brush is warranted to look best.  I would like to see these used mixed together in brush areas... not specific types for open or when used in wooded areas.

Thanks for doing this.

I think the medium and light woods brush looks really good. for the open brush I like the shortest one the best. This should really make woods look 'fuller' Thanks!

Yup, I hear you. The open brush type is long/short grass and the odd dying sapling. I had 3 designs for each of these but can only use 3 of the 9 that I made since there is a limit at the moment that the MM can handle. I'm happy to make the open brush type just grass, short, med, long.

We have to use specific types which are determined by the design of the AI map, brush, light wood, med wood and heavy wood. I wondered if we could look at more types at a later date (e.g. crop types for dif fields) and maybe more than three brush varieties for each ground type.

Stick with just grasses for open brush, any other thoughts?

At some point I'd like to see some wheat - should be some wheat fields around, in fact, I was actually looking for a wheat field stubble texture for use in a map.
