Note the date. I reckon someone will eventually win on Hard as early as 1864 if one of the testers havent already but I get too lazy to really focus once I am confortably ahead.

Is mathamition Texan for mathematician? Sounds like a Bushism(tm) to me [:D]

Hey, if they know the "P's" and "Q's" of the game and still find it a challenge, then even better for the rest of us...

Take care, : < )

No, I havent beaten it on impossible. I havent tried nor do I intend to. I will be impressed if someone does though.

I beat it on Hard as the USA more than half a year ago during testing but many things have changed so the answer would be no. Maybe I will try to sometime if I get the time.

As Jon points out I had a head start when the game was released as I had a hand in alpha and early beta testing and coded a few smaller things - nothing to do with the AI though. I expect others to beat the AI on Hard soon as well once you work out how the game runs. Even though I did win the AI is not a push over and it still makes that surprising move that catches me off guard so I would certainly call the AI very well made.

Oh, and yes, I am a mathamatician not that it plays any role in me playing the game. It did play a role when I coded the leader activation probability window though :)

LOL...Grimguy, I never could spell, and I put that on spell check on word. It didn't sound right to me. I'm not really a Texan, I grew up in Vegas NV, and lived 8 years in Prescott Valley AZ. I do cable TV work. Did they ever fix that nasty CATV system you have there? I've be in Texas 5 years now and love it.

We've got Cox and it's been pretty good for the past 3-4 years for internet. I can achieve 2000kB downloads (that's bytes, not bits!). The HD cable is a joke. Compressed as hell.

Cox is one of the big boys, that with Time Warner and Comcast. 12 years ago it was a fly by night company that ran it. So Cox bought it and ran fiber from Scottsdale, good to hear...Fiber network, cant beat it...Is it a nice little town still, or are the people moving in in droves?

Prescott and Prescott Valley have grown a lot since you were there. My area (N Phoenix/Cave Creek) grew a lot over the past 5 years, but CC is still very nice. A bit touristy, but nothing like going to a bar to watch a football game and parking your car next to a couple horses. . .

I hate folks like him! LOL they are better by accident than I am on purpose. I have to struggle just to stumble along on normal (SIGH) Oh well if I was as good as him it would not be very interesting to win that easy. So in the end I am glad I am a slow old fart with a old s-l-o-w brain.

I finally got around to finishing a game against the CSA hard AI. I only managed a substantive victory so there is certainly room for improvement.
