So I have totally maxed out my current tech level which is laser and I have 4 bases with 2 lightnings with my best armaments per base. I really need to get a hold of a Vipon commander but I can't seem to find one. It's March of my second year and the strongest ship I have faced is a battle cruiser. What ships can I find commanders on?

I just uninstalled my game because I had it patched and I am thinking of installing Bman's Ease of Use Mod, Good idea?

Yes, good idea. BMan's ease of use mod easily identifies commanders by putting a gold box around the spotted alien unit icon.
