updating / modding / tweaking Worksheet DBs?

How exactly do I go about tweaking / adding to the Worksheet DB - I understand how the Worksheet itself works (in excel format). I've made some new weapons and new soliders / teams.
How exactly do I go about putting them into my CCMT file / folder?
Do I simply cut and paste them into a certain folder?
Do I have to save them as a certain file type beforehand?
Thanks for a quick walk-through...

Here, go download this "mod" of mine:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FSHC5EAL
and rename the .ccm file into a .zip file and unzip it. Then you can see the structure of the mod file. There's a mod.ini file which you can edit with wordpad which tells Mod Swap what are the files in the .ccm file and what has to be changed during the swap.
To make the mod, of course, you do the exact opposite procedure. Put all the files you have edited in a folder, include a mod.ini file, zip it up, and rename it from .zip to .ccm.
At any rate, would you mind telling me what changes you have made? If your changes are not incompatible with what VDV and I made, it might be nice to incorporate it all together?

How do I "rename" a file? Do I have to DL a program that allows for this? To change the extention (file type)?
I use to have a hex-editor type program that did this -

include a mod.ini file.
What exactly is this? Is this the "worksheet" I have used to tweak / add additional units, weapons ext? The "CCMT data Workbook" file?

There is absolutely no need to download anything. If Windows show the file you downloaded as:
"Spinel_datamod4"
then do the following first.
http://www.fileinfo.net/help/windows-sh ... sions.html
and make Windows show all the file extensions.
Now the file you downloaded would read something like:
"Spinel_datamod4.ccm"
Right-click on it, and go to "Rename", and change .ccm to .zip. Then unzip.

No, it is not the worksheet. It merely states what's inside the .zip file so the Mod Swap program can process it. Mine reads as follows:
---
[General]
Name=Spinel submod od VDV data mod for CCMT
Description=This plugin is For those wishing to play with more accurate (And powerful) To&E Russian VDV units with Spinel Changes
Game Version Required=1.0
[Exclusive Files]
BlueTeams.txt
RedTeams.txt
Soldiers.txt
Vehicles.txt
Weapons.txt
Tanks.azp
Shadows.azp
[Files]
BlueTeams.txt=\Data\Base
RedTeams.txt=\Data\Base
Soldiers.txt=\Data\Base
Vehicles.txt=\Data\Base
Weapons.txt=\Data\Base
Tanks.azp=\GRAPHICS
Shadows.azp=\GRAPHICS
Operation Center Back=\Games\Battles
[Hide Files]
---
It simply tells the Mod Swap program where to put the new files you created. The worksheet you use to create the Vehicles.txt, RedTeams.txt, etc. Once you manage to unzip the .ccm file I uploaded and take a look at the individual files then everything should be self-explanatory.
