1st half clock management for teams in the lead

One problem I am noticing is that teams that are in the lead in the first half run out the clock instead of using timeouts to make sure they at least get in a field goal. It sort of hurts the immersion of the game when a team does not take advantage of being in field goal range.

I think you may notice a change in the upcoming release. Not sure if David would want me to give specifics yet, but there is an improvement there. It still may not be perfect, but im seeing more realistic end of half play.

dont all pc football titles do that though,
I still see Madden do that all the time and espn 2k5 on the XBOX 360
But hey,

Well done David and the test team, sounds promising.

Great news, It is an imprecise thing, for example, in Madden some times I feel the AI settles for the field goal too quickly other times I feel they leave things till too late and run out the clock. So I understand the difficulty. As long as the AI is generally sensible I'm satisfied.

for sure, if you wanna play a total human like game
you have to stick on the pads and helmet and get out on the turf
