Is it my computer or something to do with the recent website amendments - but since Saturday morning I can`t see certain avatars or items posted to the forum - for example the Belgian unit write up. There is just a little red X where they should be??

It's not just you, it seems that Matrix has a tendency not to due proper testing on things before releasing them. Whenever, I load the page, it locks up for about 5 seconds before I can do anything.

On the upside, it looks much better.

Is this still happening for you? If so, what browser are you using?

I see Steve's avatar, and a couple of others, but the vast majority, nada.

I'm using Mozilla FireFox, 2.0.0.14.

The graphics are files, which Matrix is transferring from the old system to the new. It is going to take them time to do that, but eventually all the old graphics files (avatars, screen shots, et al) should be functioning on the new system the same way they did on the old.

I know that both the number and size of the screen shots for the MWIF forum are enormous, and there are a whole lot of other game forums with their own screen shots and graphics. It is just going to take time to perform the file transfers - Erik and Dave have said it will be 3 or 4 days.

The site works very quickly for me, better than before but no avatars either obviously. Another thing is that I can´t fast reply, just the normal replies.

Still no avatars today :-)
And the timezone is also screwed. Should I set it up again in my profile ?

Ah, now that you mention it, so is the time zone for me. Yeah, I think we are going to have to correct that ourselves.

I corrected mine myself, and it is OK.
What is weird, is that I see my avatar in my profile, but it does not appear in the Forum.

Your avatar appears fine for me.

I have more serious problems.[:(] I've lost my access as moderator, which cuts me off from the MWIF Development Forum.[X(] I strongly suggest never changing your email address.[8|]

Yes, the avatar came back.
Because it is because I went into my profile, to see it, and this re-enabled it ????
Anyway, it is a shame if we lost all the screenshots posted to the forum... [:(]

Being cut off from the MWIF Development Forum is bad for the developper.
