I installed PS 1.70 and 1.71 patch

Click on icon and game does not open ?!

What is happening ??

The install went fine

It is like a registry entry is missing or something.

Click and nothing.

I can open the Autorun dialog box but when I try to click ANY of the links nothing ??

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK after reinstall, it seems after I install the 1.71 patch is when the game rfuses to load. OK before patch !!

have you re-downloaded the 1.71 patch and try it again? Sounds like a bad patch file, maybe?

Same result, with patch

Uninstalled game reinstalled game and works fine, WITHOUT patch !

Maybe Shaun has a different patch ??!!

Another update :

Decide to try and patch from ground up :

1) installed 1.70 (Works Great)

2) installed patch G (could not find any patches before G) (Works Great)

3) installed patch F (would not open) [&:]

4) uninstalled, reinstalled, Works Great

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! [&:][&:]

Another Update ::

If I can get patch 1.70 b to install I think it might work !!

UPDATE:

Received 1.70b from Nukester.

Installed and ran fine.

Installed 1.71 patch game will not start.

I am lost now Hopefully Shaun has an answer.

how many installations of the game do you have installed?

And if you run RegEdit and look under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MATRIX GAMES\PURESIM BASBEALL 2007

you'll find a key called "installed to" that contains the path that Windows expects to find your game installed to. Is it the correct path?

If you only have 1 installation of the game and the "install to" path is correct is RegEdit, then I'm stumped. Hopefully, Shaun will be have some suggestions.

I am willing to bet that there is a key or something different in the registry or not there. That line is there and it is pointing to where I have the game "installed to'

The game (1.70) and (1.70b) work great.  just when I install 1.71 then the exe becomes dead. cannot open the game anymore.

I reinstall the 2 and it again is fine !

I have not begun to develop other unrelated (could be cause of this problem [&:]) issues.

So I am going to reinstall XP Pro.

reinstalled windows and POOF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1.71 works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I have to start over
