Greatest Medal Accomplishments

I was just wondering how many out there have gotten the highest medals possible, for instance, for the first time, I got the Knights Cross with oak leaves and swords, which was quite awesome, my greatest game ever. I was of course the germans, playing the Citadel and Beyond Campaign commanding a heavy tank Battalion (oh yeah, Tigers), lost a total of 4 sp points the entire game, got all my units to the exit hex, and got about 700 VPs of Soviet weaponry, for a grand total over 2000 VPs, I was extremely happy.

I was more wondering if anyone has gotten the highest medal as another nation, so far, as the lesser countries (Poland, Finland, France, Italian-land, and hungary-town) I have been pretty unsuccessful gaining even the most basic medals. Dont get me wrong, I have gotten some here and there, but its nothing steady. But as say, Britan, in Africa, I've gotten very few medals and was wondering how others were faring in their conquests.

willy g, I just started the Army Group Center DCG and earned the KC with Oak Leaves and Swords in the first battle, the same medal as you earned, and the highest medal I've earned yet. I lost 6 SPs, including two PzIIIGs to artillery fire on the same turn about mid-battle, and earned about 2150 VPs, with all but five units exiting the map. I surprised myself with so few SP losses, set on Average difficulty. The second battle is set up with three tank companies on map all bunched together for maximum impact. I'm also three completed battles into the Rommel North Africa LCG and four completed battles into the France 1940 DCG, with v 1.03.

Not doing nearly as well in the second battle, having lost nearly a dozen tanks, and no Exit hex to add VPs, currently in turn twelve of twenty. The VP count is okay about 750, but those tank losses will be hard to replace. Hidden ATGs are a real pest, remaining hidden in marsh terrain for a couple turns, of which there is plenty. After being surprised a few times, panzers are proceeding warily, like walking on eggshells. Two of the four VP hexes are in the woods and Germans have very little infantry support, relying heavily on artillery. Massive numbers of Russian mortars and ATGs. PzIIs have value in attacking enemy foot soldiers, better than PzIIIs.
