Last weekend I bought the download +CD/manual version and I am very happy with the whole shebang!
Flawless download during peak internet traffic time, and yesterday I recieved the well designed CD case (complete with full manual!)..
This morning at approx 0345, I downloaded the first patch (which Matrixgames is known for, since they as a game company always listen to WE, THE PLAYERS.)
Thank you all for a great product.....Bob

In the many years I have been gaming I have found that Gary Grigsby's games have always been well designed and had great interfaces. This game is no exception. I may have not always agreed with the subject or level of his games but they all have been great games
Tiis one plays like no other I have ever seen. With the combat system and leadership system it is a fun thing to play. It is the first game I have seen that uses luck and chance. Watching the combat screen and the cV point totals and the rate various leaders put there troops in battle in a lot of fun.
I have ALWAYS had problems with production/supply modes in games at this level and this has kept me from playing some at anything above easy. This game has a very user friendly production syustem. Do max ships, supply and a couple of new factories and you should be fine. Keep an eye on your army size and don't get caught up in the "bigger is Better" approach or you will have problems. Read and use the forum and remember as my old drill sargent said "the only dumb question ia one that is not asked". I have asked a few really dumb ones myself. well get out there and go to it.
