Here are the latest stats taken from the battles posted on this Forum! To those of you who haven't seen this Ranking before (and those who didn't follow the thread on new scoring formula), here's a recap. This is a ranking of all the online Titans of Steel battles posted for the last couple of months, recorded and calculated into statistics on all the people who played. To keep things (relatively) short, only the battle posts since the last Ranking are listed, but since we're moving to a new Forum with new players, I'm adding another post with all the battles listed there (for anyone to check over and go ooh, aah, as well as help with the accuracy).

This week, 2 names have dominated the arenas: Michael and Lyhrrus! In an amazingly short time, these two players have come to the ToS Arenas and established themselves as warriors *not* to be trifled with. Quickly gaining the respect of veterans like Hetzer, Iceman and Prince Corrin, they have demolished scores of titans in their quest for ToS Mastery! This quest has also pitted them against each other, many, many times. (Is it a conspiracy? a rivalry? or just a love of beating the living daylights out of your opponent? You decide!)

This is the first week using the new scoring system, which starts off everyone in the 1st rank (1.00), wins advance you up to tenth rank (10.00) losses drag you back down, and draws count half.

**These new scores bear no relation to the ones on the old Forum!**

Here, average win ratios will keep you in the first 2 ranks, with good players in ranks 3-6. Winning streaks will advance you past the 7th rank, and if you manage to stay above the 8th rank for 3 weeks while continuing to add battles, consider yourself a god!

This week two characters have blazed a trail of blood and broken metal: Lyhrrus and Michael.

This week saw Michael's highs and lows. At the beginning of the week, it looked like Michael was in the running to advance his rank, with victories against McWizard and Hetzer. But Decisive losses against Lyhrrus kept him from breaking into Rank 5. Successive victories against Prince Corrin boosted him above Rank 6, only to slide down (again thanks to Lyhrrus) to just below Rank 3. Happily, a win against Lyhrrus and a multiplayer victory against Hetzer back up to Rank 5, until (unhappily) his last battle with Lyhrrus.

Lyhrrus, with dogged determination, has garnered 13 Wins/2 Losses/0 Draws since the last post, rocketing upwards into the 8th rank! This marks the second week that this fearsome pilot has racked up over 10 wins. Congratulations on the skill and cunning it took to accomplish that! Last week this commentator said Lyhrrus was the man to watch, and since then he has proven that true.

Can anyone take this man down? We'll just have to wait and see...

Talk about a long post! Anyhow, here's a much shorter one regarding the Ranking:

Due to the move to this forum, many players (myself included) have had to switch names for various reasons. The ranking treats new names like new pilots wich we may or may not want.

So my question is this: How do we want to deal with the name switch?

Should I go back and find/replace all the Hetzers with Hetz, etc?

Should I throw out the old data and start the new scores from scratch?

Should I go get myself a large cheese pizza with sausage and onions? (This I'll do anyway

What do you think?

The pizza is a good idea. Worst Pizza I ever ate was in Portugal(Algarve). Seafood pizza with a Large octopus plunked down right in the center. Head, beak, tentacles the entire thing. It was an experience like no other.

On the subject of rankings. With 111 games under his belt Hetz is a true Iron Man.

All I know is that it's not good to be at the top. <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> You make so many... fiends as Hetzer would put it. <img src="tongue.gif" border="0"> I've got Michael, Hetzer and Zaddiq all wanting my blood. I'm think Larkin wouldn't mind a sip either, but he hasn't said anything. I'm sure though that with the next bug free v1.4b, my harddrive is going to decompile.

There's also one more battle between me and Zaddiq from the old forum. I'm not sure if you want to count it or not since we forgot to post about it right afterwards, but here's the link to where we talked about it.

If you want, I could make a key to the names so that you wouldn't need to change it. The data I believe is for the pre v2.0 so we should keep it until TOS-II WS comes out. Lastly, onions?!?! Ick..., I'm a mushroom or olive (with sausage of course) guy myself.

Good Idea! I would appreciate the key. And you have a point about the data - I'll be starting new stats anyway once T2 comes out (That's Titans 2 not Terminator

And Hetzer - check out www.badblue.com as a possible way to post excel sheets, maybe? I use it as a web demo/page viewer as well as for PHP script development. Just a thought.

I took my name off the ranking a couple of months back. I got the top score just as we switched from Iceman back to me, and that made it look like I was doing the ranking to boast or something. Since work has overshadowed my play time recently, my score hardly changes, so it is still within the top four (due to no games rather than actual playing merit). I plan to keep it off intil I can get back into regular playing. Then I'll feel that my score can actually reflect my ability to stay in the top four
