No response to this question in the PDS forum, so I'll post here...

I'm trying to create a new defensive formation using the PDS. When I create a new formation, it always gives me the same set of players to work with (SF1, SF2, SF3, CB1, CB2, etc.). How do I change position for the player icon. For example, I want to use DB1 and DB2 instead of SF2 and SF3.

I can't figure out how to do this in the PDS. The only way I've figured out how to achieve this is by changing it later on when I edit the depth charts. Can it be edited within the PDS?

I don't know if what you want to do is possible, and probably no one else knew either, so they didn't want to give you false info, but I don't think you can change.  When I put in 5 DBs, I always get 2 CBs, 2 Safetys, and one "DB"

I dont think there is a way to change it. I poked around in the files that would handle that, and there is no defensive formation info.

Okay, thanks guys. I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing. I guess not.

As I mentioned above, there is a workaround. When you do the depth charts for a team, you can change the player in a formation by selecting his name from the list on the right and then clicking the icon in the formation view.
