Even though i have been playing the game hardcore, it seems to have developed some weird bug.
Here is the screen shot, also sent
support@matrixgames.com an email.
Anyone know what is the turn around for a reply?

Ok it has happened again.
After not recieving any reply from support or a reply here, i went ahead and uninstalled and re-installed the game.
Seeing as this happened back on July 15, 2008 and has repeated its fatal error today, Aug 7, 2008, I would hope to get some kind of reply with a possible permanent fix.
I purchased the game as a download and Disk sent to me. If there is a problem with my serial number, i hope it can be resolved.

You never got a response from support at Matrix? I will email Erik and have him take a look at your post. I don't know what could be causing your problem. Do you get the problem with just the patch, or do you also get it when you first install the 1.0 version.

WarHunter,
Please e-mail me at
erikr@matrixgames.com and include a DxDiag file. We'll investigate and hopefully resolve this issue.
Regards,
- Erik

Joel & Erik,
Thanks for the reply's. I have sent the information requested by Erik.
In answer to Joel, I have had this error happen 3 times total. The first time, i did not document it, thinking i may have caused it somehow. I really don't even remember much about that 1st time. That was before the 1st patch came out.
The last 2 times have happened loading the 1.10 to do a pbem move. Everything goes well loading the game, loading the save file and initial screen. after about 2-3 min, the game crashes to the fatal error. Upon loading now it just crashes straight off.
Interesting to note, this only happens when trying to load a unplayed current pbem file. When this happened in July it was also related to a PBEM file.
If i am just loading a solo game, or a previously played pbem turn i do not get booted. I've loaded alot of files to check this out.
At the moment i have only 1 outstanding pbem file, as all the others are in the hands of my opponents.
The mystery stands as is.

I wanted to add that i have recieved PBEM moves from, John, James & Treefrog. Not one of them will load without the error coming up. But i can load up a solo game or previous played PBEM turns without a problem.

Just wanted to let you know that we're still trying to figure out what is happening. We can't seem to duplicate the issue on our test machines. Are you still having the issue with the latest update?

So far the program is holding up.
If it does repeat the error, i will be sure to post here and attach the exe file with save game file.
Thanks for checking in and letting us know you are working on it.

By the way, I have just started receiving this error today. It happened first with a PBEM game with one player. And then, with another. It looks like this was never solved, other than possibly reinstalling.
