Hi

I have a suggestion. I noted that in the "Gary Grigsby -war between the states"-forum and others they have a subforum called "the war room" where you post all articles about tactics strategy and so on.

Wouldnt it be great to have such a subforum here as well? I would sure like it. And it would stimulate people to write more articles about strategy, which is one of the few things i miss on this forum.

Grymme that would be a great idea.Don't know who could create the War Room, but I sure hope he reads this thread soon.There are so many experienced players that could give us a few tips and tricks.
I for my side always appreciate the little tricks.

I agree. When I came here, I spent some time looking for the strategy discussions. There's a bit in the main forum, a bit in the mods & scenarios forum, and probably bits and pieces elsewhere. And I don't know where best to ask my stupid newbie questions, so I ask them all over the place. Would a dedicated strategy forum be only for advanced strategic subtleties, or also for the basic principles that newbies like me still need to learn?

I agree also.  The tactics and strategy discussions are the ones that interest me the most, and a forum devoted to it would probably stimulate discussion on those matters.

Good call. I think that AT is geared toward players who like strategic and tactical reading in particular.

So.,.. hmmm.. anyone know who you should put this suggestion to?  Vic or matrix games?

Maybe send Eric Rutins a pm about it. He's busy man so dosen't always read all the forums but he's very willing to help out us forum dwellers....[8D]

That's a good idea....although it does add a whole new dimension to intel gathering in human vs human games.....

It's been over a week now and still no "War Room"section added? Whats the story?

If Vic has to make the sticky for the war room it may take a while, last I heard was that he was quite busy with a big game convention. (can't quite remember the name of the con).

Something like till the middle of August.

i'll have some more time after GenCon. Among others to finish the v1.20 patch.
But in the meantime Matrix said they'll add the subforum.
 
If there are any special threads that need to be copied there let me know.
