When I try to play a MaxFB game, the surrounding is completely red. No stadium, field, stands, benches, or goalposts. Just solid red among the players.
How can I fix this?

What are your system specs, such as video card type, memory, processor.
Win xp or Vista
What does it say is the version of Maximum football(in the upper left corner of the main menu screen)

Kewl, excellent.
just try tinkering with detail levels, you may be able to set player detail to normal and still be ok

Actually, the shadows aren't the problem anymore...Now the screen is going solid red again, but this time only when there's rain, snow, or the game's at night.
What do you think I should do here?

by the sounds of it..............at a guess
its down to graphics, you just dont have enough graphics memory to play
I assume you have kept the player detail to low and shadows off and now its happening during weather ?????
out of interest what graphics memory do you have available ??
you need 128meg minimum by my experience

Mykal is right. Could you tell us what type of computer you have? That would help a lot and we could tell if it is a computer or a game problem.
