I've got a question about how the difficulty levels are going to be in ToS:WS. In the old game, it was possible to set the relative strength of the AI's titans in relation to yours, by editing the binit file. Is there going to be something to that effect in the new game? It makes things a lot more interesting when your enemy outclasses you in terms of firepower and titan weight/number.

You will be able to set the skill levels of your enemies from Inferior through Champion in most cases. The skill levels of your pilots will depend on whether you are creating your own team ( their skills will depend on what experience they've earned) or if you choose a random player team (you'll be able to set their skill levels). This will function much like the ver1.4 hotseat game. Except the terrain will be predesigned and you will have several new mission parameters.
There will also be 9 save game slots.

In addition, of course there will always be the random maps. The previous post refered specifically to the campaign game. you can take your team back and forth between the campaign and random maps (to gain experience/money if you want).

What about setting the weight class of the AI in random fights? I've always wanted to try taking on a team full of assaults with just one titan, but I can't seem to find a way to do it without loading a whole team on beforehand and just having 7 of them leave. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Can't you do it with the 'enemy' option, along with the 'teamtitan' option? Set the 1st to 800 (8x your tonnage) and the 2nd to 4 (that's 2 teams of 4 titans each). Should work.
