Leader benefit bug

Using ver 1.010 at start of Union Turn 1:

Note that a mouseover of Norfolk does not bring up the "Conduct a naval bombardment" menu.

Move Ward's squadron (Ac7) into the James River and the "Conduct a naval bombardment" menu comes up. Conduct the naval bombardment.

In the detailed combat report:

1) In Norfolk, even with the militia created filling up Hugar's 4 command points, the naval leaders Lee and Forrest have 6 unused command points between them with each having a 1 Arty rating. Per 10.2.1, "Unit Commander Selection by unattached units: Any defending unit that is not attached to a Unit Commander will automatically select one from the available leaders in the region. To be available a leader must have command points remaining..."

The combat report does not show the Confederate heavy arty gaining a benefit (1 Arty) from either available leader.

2) Theodorus Bailey's gunboat squadron (Ac7) shows as a participating Unit commander but he is located in a different water area from which no bombardment is possible.

The above are repeatable.

Good catch. It does appear that the auto-attachment rule does not apply to naval bombardments. I'll add that to the list to see if we can make it apply in the next patch. If this proves to be very difficult, we just may adjust the rule. As for the second item, this appears to be a display issue only as it has no impact on the battle (but I'll add it to our list to see if we can clean it up). Thanks for finding these items.

I thought I had seen this in a ground combat, so I did a quick test.

The same problem (unattached defending heavy arty not being given an eligible leader's benefits) exists in ground combat as well as naval bombardment.
