Knockdown

I have been thinking about this for a while. Shouldn't larger titans be able to knock down smaller titans when punching/kicking? It seems to me that when a swarm of recon titans are mobbing an assault, one of the things which sould even the fight up is that one hit from the assault should knock down the smaller titan. I am not sure I would want to propose rules for it, since I don't know the mechanic for knockdown in charging, but I would like to hear other opinions.

There is a chance based on damage and location hit. So, larger titans do have a greater chance of knocking down smaller titans.

I've never seen an assault knock down even a recon with a punch or kick. I've only seen it happen when a titan charges, then it shows the percent chances and it is obvious that the odds are skewed in the favor of the larger titans, tho' they are easier to avoid

Has anyone actually seen, in combat, a punch or kick knock down another opponent which wasn't due to damaged/destroyed bodypart/gyro/etc.?

If so are the odds that low, or am I just that unlucky? (You should have seen the Axis and allies game I played yesterday, talk about terrible dice rolls.... )

Let me know,

Yep, punched and kicked down lots of titans before, especially if you hit their legs or lower torso.

Same here. I've also punched or kicked over assaults with lights and recons.

I'm not the ultimate authority on this subject but here are my observations.

Good movement skills prevent falls.

Charging hits cause Enemy movement of a titan to reset to no movement.

The bigger the titan the harder they fall and the harder they kick and punch. The smaller they are the less kicking and punching they can take.

If you're out of ammo, Kicking, Punching, DfA, and charging are your friend. *one reason why energy weapons are so good for new pilots.
