T-70 Platoon ... x 10 ?

Erik,
Well, I'm taking a little break from modding ... and ... Just bought Kharkov-Disaster on the Donets too [;)] ...
Anyway ... I loaded up an RBG ... March,1942 ... 1000pts vs 1000pts ... Tank Battalion OOB's ... oh, and running FULL strength.
Is having
10 x T-70 strength platoons normal? I've got three ... see screenshot.
Thanks!
Rob
EDIT NOTE : I gather the Full Strength switch is what's doing it?

Yep, technically those are "companies" rather than platoons but thanks to Soviet C&C and historical "unit of maneuver" tendencies, the RBG likes to field the Soviets with companies at full strength instead of platoons. 10 tanks (3 platoons of 3 plus a command tank) is a Soviet T-70 company, IIRC.
Regards,
- Erik

Eirk,
Ok ... good, thanks for quick reply. Having 9 for 1 HQ sure makes you think about how to use them with that delay.
Oh, I have another question ... I'll post in the MODS ... RBG thread.
Thanks,
Rob

Erik,
One interesting find ... I found a text file in the main Kharkov folder, called RBG_ZD ... a debugging file.
Apparently it makes this file after the RBG is built ... something I didn't know .... pretty cool.
Anyway, since the battle was 03/22/1942 it should have at least looked at the T-34's ... Below is a snipet of the Russian Armor choices ...
For quick reference ... the Underlined Bold are the ones it considered.

This is using the defaults.
I think what happened in your case was that you were using a non default preset which had *no* T34s defined, so their probability = 0.
There is a huge amount of flexibility in what you can make the RBG do wrt to presets and battle plans. Of course if you are not carefull you can make it generate nonsense as well [;)]
Regards
S.
P.S. For reference:
% = % chance to appear (eg T34 = 30% ~ 1 in 3 generated tanks will be T34s)
(intro date - median date - end service date)
sd = standard deviation of the service life in months
mp = prevalence on the battlefield at the median date
3D = 1/0 (if a 3D model exists or not, if not the unit will not be generated regardless of % chance)

Ok ... thanks ... the sd,mp,3D stuff was going to be my next question ... you're reading my mind .
I'm pretty sure the preset of "tank battalion" had the T-34 ... but I'm going to cross reference the two presets and see if there's something else I missed.
I'm going to play around with my own version of a preset and to see how it all works. I'm curious to know it more values (fields) can be thrown into the preset that perhaps might be "unpublished" ... but I have a feeling it's what I see is all.
By the way, look at your post ... Look at the MP for the T34-76 Model 1940 ... it reads 3 ... that seems really low to me and initially I thought it was a typo ... it just looked odd to me.
Thanks!
Rob

Nope, that's correct - there weren't that many of those built (compared to the other types) and there weren't many of the original 1940 models left after the first six months or so of Barbarossa.
