Union Supply Availability and Display Problem

I finally got into late 1863 with the Union and winning and started noticing a discrepancy between the amount of supply displayed and what seemed available. When playing the CSA side it looked like the number of wagons displayed by the Unit display and the side tool bat when a region was selected were always the same and when they went to zero the CSA had used up their available supplies. However, during my Unon game the Unit display indicated I still had over 500 supply wagons but the side bar indicated I had 0 left. When I attempted to build something requiring supply like a depoy or fort it would pop up the message saying I didn't have sufficient supply. But an on map display still indicated lots of wagon all over the map. The only thing I could figure it message meant was that not enough supply was available in that region but I checked northern regions which should have no problem and places like Washington DC and they two said I didn't have enough supply and the side bar indicated zero.

Is this a bug or is some other process affecting the availability of supply for the Union?

How many depots did you have? Each depot makes 20 supplies unavailable. The side bar number is the supplies available that can reach the current area. Those unavailable due to not being on the same supply grid or being in depots don't get counted.

Thanks, that would explain the difference.  I didn't realize the "wagon" count displayed in the Unit display was counting depots as wagons too.
